Covid-19 Protocols & Ross Cafe Parties

These trying times for the last six months has meant that we have not been able to create fun life cycle events for our guests.  We still love to celebrate with you all and now that we are slowly getting back to a place where we can bring together small groups of people we want to let you know how our parties are working for the time being. Situations are always changing so don’t be surprised if we have to make adjustments!

Has it fallen on you to throw a “do” for your friend, family or foe? Some gals (and gentlemen) love a challenge and some dread it. We are here to make it happen for you and make it easy and fun to organize. Yes, you will have to make a few decisions and of course pay up. But aside from that, all you really need to worry about is your frock and those testy RSVP’s. Crown & Crumpet is the perfect accessory to your charms as a hostess or host.

In Japantown, once we are allowed to open our private party room, we will be able to have up to 10 people at a time. The minimum will be for no less than six people. The room allows for socially distant space between each place setting and our Trolley Dolly & Dandies who are serving the party will always be masked and practicing vigilant health and safety practices. Our Ross location in Marin County has availability for six people to celebrate on our outdoor patio. We do not have an indoor private space yet so there is not a chance right now to have a private space to celebrate but we can make sure your celebration is extra special with a lot of attention to detail!

Whether you are celebrating a birthday, an upcoming wedding, a yummy mummy-to-be, committee meeting, a book club, or a craft class, we can do it. Crown & Crumpet is here to make it an event you and your guests will remember for years to come and hopefully for all the right reasons!

If she can’t pick up the call right away please leave a message with your information and she will get back to you shortly. Generally calls are returned Mondays to Fridays after 10:00 am and hopefully before 6:00 pm! Sometimes it’s tricky to chat during the day as Amy is also serving pots of tea and scones to thirsty tea loving guests!! But do not fret she will get back to you… in the meantime here is a load of information that may help you!

An Afternoon Tea Party is priced per person in San Francisco and includes the following :

$58.00 per person –Exclusive of tax & gratuity

– Exclusive use of our Private Party room for two hours

– Two dedicated Trolley Dollies to look after your party exclusively

-A selection of four tea sandwiches and two warm savories per person
-A warm fruit scone served with strawberry jam, lemon curd, and clotted cream.
– A toasted buttered crumpet
– A selection of five sweets and treats
– A selection of teas

All of the above is served “family style” on silver three tiers in our private party room that can seat up to 10 people!

You will also have

– Special theme decorated centre piece and fresh flowers

– A small party favour for each guest in the theme of the event*

– A charming Crown & Crumpet crown for the guest of honor that makes a great souvenir of the day.

– An exclusively designed gift sheet to keep track of any gifts opened at the party.

* Party favors may include tea, European candy or Crown & Crumpet chocolate bars and other doodads etc…Trust us it will be cute and tasteful and save you a lot of hassle. Everyone loves a party favor!

Includes the rental of the Room!

– A non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking for $150.00 + tax.

PS. We don’t have an alcohol license but serving some bubbly at a party during tea time seems so apropos so you may be bring a bottle or two (or more) and we will have the proper flutes and a cute ice bucket to serve it from. We can also provide orange juice or peach juice for Mimosas or Bellini’s. Corkage is $10.00 a bottle and $20.00 per magnum. Please discuss with Amy and she can sort you out!

Children’s Parties in San Francisco

For children celebrating their 6th to 12th birthday, Limited to 10 guests who are 5 years or older.

Priced per child exclusive of tax and gratuity
$58.00 per child (and adults who attend) which includes the following:

-Two hour use of the private party area
– A dedicated Trolley Dolly to look after the party
-A selection of healthy child friendly freshly made tea sandwiches and a warm savory
-A warm scone with jam
-Three sweets & treats
-Choice of fruit tea or hot chocolate

-Large Fairy cakes ( a cupcake really)
-Special theme decorated centre piece
– An age appropriate craft activity
– A party favor for each guest
– A special Crown & Crumpet Birthday Crown for the guest of honour

Please keep in mind there is some down time after the craft and tea time part of the party and before the cupcakes come out, as you know kids don’t really don’t sit around chit chatting away with each other like grownups so they have to be kept busy. May we  suggest a couple of fun classic party games to add  to the delight of the day?

Does your daughter love American Girl Dolls ? If so read below about the fun craft and favour kit created by the AGSisters that you can add on to the party to make it extra special.

If your party is for children 9 years and younger, may we suggest a delightful Fairy to fly in and make an appearance and keep the kids entertained? This takes the pressure off you the hostess and the little ones love how the fairy keeps them busy with glittery face painting, a magic show and balloon twisting! We can arrange this for you as it is an extra cost but well worth it! We can also suggest other entertainers. Inquire with us and Amy is happy to give more details.

For any adults that attend, whether it’s just the hostess & host and/or other parents, they too are considered part of the party so they will be served our classic afternoon tea service as well as a party favour. There really isn’t a way to get out of it! Everyone is there to Tea-Partea together! We take care of the kids at one end of the table and the grown-ups can chat and eat to their hearts content with out any worry of having to do the work! How perfect is that?

Children’s Parties in Ross

For children celebrating their 6th to 12th birthday, Limited to 6 guests who are 5 years or older. Parties are always scheduled for 3:00 pm in the afternoon outdoors on our garden patio.

Priced per child exclusive of tax and gratuity
$55.00 per child which includes the following:

-Hour and half on our garden patio (it is not private other guests may be seated on the patio at the same time)
-A dedicated Trolley Dolly to look after the party
-A selection of healthy child friendly freshly made tea sandwiches and mini sausage rolls
-A warm scone with jam
-Three sweets & treats
-Choice of fruit tea or hot chocolate

-Large Fairy cakes ( a cupcake really)
-Special theme decorated centre piece    -Two rounds of Tea Party Bingo     -An age appropriate craft activity
-A party favor for each guest

** We also have a special collaboration with AG Sisters, three young ladies who started a small business that creates fun activities and events for girls who love their American Girl dolls. https://theagsisters.com They have created an exclusive party craft kit for Crown & Crumpet, that can be made available with advance notice for gals age 6 to 10 years old. It is a perfect accompaniment for young ladies who love their American Dolls or any other doll in that genre. The birthday guests love to bring their dolls to the party and we have them sit nearby to watch all the action! If you are interested in this special add on just ask Amy to tell you more! Cost of the add on is $25.00

-One or two parents related to the birthday child or a guardian will be seated at a table right near by and can keep an eye on the situation but really you don’t need to do much! We will take an order from you once you have arrived and settled in.

-Should the afternoon be wet and rainy we can re-schedule.

-A non refundable deposit of $100.00 is due at the time booking.
